Wake N Skate Wakeboard Shop 2009 Events & Information July 18th - Wakeboard Tournament - The Battle of Bull Run! Thats right, the last undeveloped piece of land on Smith Mountain Lake will host our 7th annual wakeboard tournament. Glassy water, a 3,000 ft straight away, great spectator views and ideal rider conditions is what Bull Run is all about. This is not a party - Its a serious wakeboard competition that promises fun for the whole family. Liquid Force BroStock 2009??? - Well they say they want to come back but honestly I'm not going to stress about it this year. Smith Mountain Lake BroStock planning is so laid back we probably won't hear a definite until May. If you are that pumped about it why don't you send Aaron Grace or Don Wallace email and represent the East Coast. We definitely have found the ideal place at the foot of Smith Mountain called "The Black Hole" to throw down. No Sherrif, No Dgif and great riding conditions. HO Hyperlite has expressed an interest in carrying on the tradition with HO Stock if Liquid is a no show in 09. I like the odds! Ben Greenwood & Corey Bradley Clinics??? Yeah both Ben & Corey are down for coming back again in 09 - we'll post the dates as soon as they let us know their schedule. Expect $125 per person. Smith Mountain Lake Wakeboard Cable Park (AKA VA-WAKE) - working with a private investor in Richmond to place on Interstate 95. Anything could happen at this point. We should at least have System 2.0 cable up at SML stay tuned. Wakeboard Lessons - As alway our wakeboard, wakeskate, wakekite, wakesurf lessons begin Memorial Day weekend and continue through Memorial Day weekend. Jun 11th-15th - Wake N Skate Broshop Challeng at Lake Powell, Arizona July 5th - Smith Mountain Lake Rail Jam at Lakewatch Spa & Resort July 16th-18th CWB Pro Riders Trevor Hansen, Corey Bradley, Derreck Grassman will be giving lessons July 18 – Liquid Force BroStock Team Demo. Team members will be on hand to answer questions and 2009 products will be demonstrated at Wake N Skate at Bridgewater Plaza. Bar-b-que and autograph session starts at 6 p.m. July 19 – Virginia Commonwealth Games Wakeboarding Tournament at Crazy Horse Marina July 20 - BroStock Pro Invite. Double-Up Contest and all-out competition including the world’s best riders for a large cash purse at the foot of Smith Mountain.
